ISASS Member Survey for Review of New and Established CPT Codes

For Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) 2023, one new add-on code has been approved to report a second interspace lumbar total disc arthroplasty. This change requires review of physician work for both the base code 22857 and new add-on code 228XX. You are thus invited to participate in a survey that will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Important note: For this survey, the intra-service period includes total “skin-to-skin” time—specifically, the total time for the approach, the definitive procedure, and the closure, even if different aspects of the procedure are performed by more than one surgeon.
